Based in Pasadena, Nick Kim-Skenderian leads a team of Senior Customer Success Managers to develop strategies and resources to bring even more value to our customers. Nick and his team work to ensure that our customers are happy and act as advocates for customers internally.

We sat down with Nick to learn a bit more about his experiences, how he would describe Carrot’s culture, and his favorite parts of working at Carrot.

When did you join Carrot?

I started at Carrot in June of 2022.

Why did you join Carrot?

Sexual and reproductive health and rights are near and dear to my heart. I studied maternal and child health as the focus of my Master’s in Global Health while living abroad in Copenhagen, Denmark, and I went on to work at places like the World Health Organization and UN Population Fund. Joining Carrot was also about how I came into this world, as my parents went through nearly a decade of infertility and miscarriage. Given my own experience, I am very passionate about being a part of helping others start families of their own.

What is the best thing about your job?
Hands down, the people. My colleagues make coming (virtually) to work every day enjoyable. Working in customer success isn’t easy, but this team knows how to get things done and how to have fun while doing it.

What is your favorite perk about working at Carrot?

My favorite perk about working at Carrot would be the flexibility because, for one, there’s a great deal of trust from our leadership that no matter what, we’ll get the work done that needs to get done. It’s empowering.

Also, there’s an incredibly strong focus on maintaining well-being and good mental health.

How would you describe Carrot’s culture?

Carrot’s culture is one of the most collaborative and empowering work cultures I’ve been a part of. People here are genuinely nice and are always willing to help. I also value the focus on DEI both within our culture and built within our Carrot products.

What do you appreciate the most about working at Carrot?

It is hard to just pick just one thing that I appreciate about working at Carrot because I appreciate so much. I’d say it’s a tie between working alongside such smart, kind-hearted colleagues and reading touching feedback every day from members whose lives have been changed with the help of Carrot.
