Carrot named a Great Place to Work

I’m proud to share that based 100% on feedback from our employees, Carrot has been recognized as a Great Place to Work. Carrot employees not only feel a sense of pride in our mission — fertility care for all — but also feel connected as a community and free to bring their full selves to work. Our passionate, talented employees are a huge part of what makes us a Great Place to Work, and I applaud the entire team for the culture they’ve created.

To receive the certification, Great Places to Work used 30 years of research on employee experience to quantify the current state of our workplace culture. I wasn’t surprised to see the key strengths that emerged from our survey — I experience the energy of Carrot employees every day. Here are a few highlights:

  • 99% of Carrot employees feel a sense of pride in the team and the work they accomplish together
  • 97% of Carrot employees believe Carrot's management promotes and embodies an inclusive environment
  • 96% of Carrot employees feel a sense of camaraderie, community, and freedom to bring their whole selves to work
  • 95% of Carrot employees feel engaged and tuned into their work
  • 98% of employees feel a sense of pride in their work, their team, and the company's mission

How does Carrot compare to other companies in the U.S.? At the average U.S. workplace, just 59% of employees say their workplace is great. Even in technology, only 64% of employees agree with the statement “this is a great place to work.” I’m pleased to report that 95% of our employees describe Carrot as a great place to work.

Our survey results reflect the fact that when you log in every day ready to help people form families, your job is more than just a job. But while our mission is what drives us, creating an inclusive, supportive, and positive workplace culture is critical, too.

We’ve introduced a few different strategies and processes for supporting our employees, and more are on the way. As a distributed workforce, it’s important for us to connect outside of our screens when we can. When it’s safe to do so, we’re looking forward to resuming  regular in-person company gatherings to help build our relationships with each other and foster community. We also value individual professional growth and provide opportunities for all of our employees to learn and develop new skills. I love to hear employee testimonials like this one from Xinwei Zeng, our Care Navigation Team Lead:

“Carrot allows me to make a meaningful and tangible impact in people's lives while working with a team that is not only supportive of all of my needs but also provides me with ample opportunities and mentorship for professional growth.”

Company culture is very much a team effort, and this recognition belongs to all of us here at Carrot. I’m looking forward to seeing what our team accomplishes next.
